Mining

Mining is a major economic contributor and one of the largest polluting and environmentally damaging industries. Acid mine drainage, heavy metal contamination, chemical pollution, and hard-to-remove pollutants are some of the water pollution problems caused by the mining industry. In India, iron and bauxite mines along with coal mines and coalfields are operational, and their stakeholders are trying to implement safe mining practices to mitigate environmental damage. Mining waste recovery is also an important aspect of the industry considering the scarcity of natural resources and its impact on the environment. While our long-term goal is to stop mining and related plants, we need to minimize the negative impact while the plants are operational.

Mining- Heavy Metals to Chemical Pollutants; minimize pollution, control damage, and waste recovery

The mining industry has four specific water pollution challenges: acid mine drainage, heavy metal contamination, sedimentation & erosion, and chemical pollution. To tackle these challenges Potential Engineering has developed solutions to partially or completely address these problems. We offer solutions such as screens, containerized water treatment plants, scum recovery solutions, and chemical spill solutions to the mining industry.
